October 7 Fire Prevention Day PHOTOS
About thirty members of the Department visited all the local schools on Fire Prevention Day. Various programs were presented depending upon the school being visited, and included lectures and instructions on fire safety, display of firefighting tools and equipment, and various videos. Some volunteer students and volunteered teachers learned how it feels to be a firefighter by donning turnout gear and self contained breathing apparatus. Students also got to inspect the fire apparatus with some getting to climb aboard the rigs.
